Hi All! I just wanted to put this picture up of me holding a baby Little Blue Penguin. I was helping a PhD student micro chip baby penguins. The dogs next to me are Maremma dogs which are trained to protect the penguins from foxes. Last night, I went out and we corralled adult penguins as they came up from the ocean and micro chipped the measured them. My job was to pick them out of the pen and bring them to the PhD student who was micro-chipping them. Then I had to bring them back to the path to let them go. I was wearing gloves, and good thing because they are feisty and bite hard!
